Dy Manager / Asst. Manager

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – Production to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations in the Production department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics, hands-on shop-floor experience, and the ability to lead teams while driving continuous improvement in processes, quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production activities to ensure achievement of production targets.
• Plan, organize and monitor production schedules to meet delivery timelines.
• Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce rejection, rework and wastage.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms and statutory compliance on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning and Stores for smooth production flow.
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Train, guide and supervise the production team to ensure high performance and discipline.
• Support implementation of lean manufacturing, 5S and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain production reports, documentation and MIS as required by management.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in production, preferably in plastics manufacturing.
• Educational background: CEPT or Master’s degree in Plastics (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of plastic processing techniques, machines and moulding operations.
• Proven experience in managing shop-floor teams and handling shift operations.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot process and quality issues.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet strict deadlines.
